A farmstay at Parule, Sindhudurg
Maachli is a family-run farmstay located in a preserved forest, where the owners have planted over a 100 habitat-friendly trees over the last 15 years. Guests here engage in the practical and cultural life of the village. The four sustainable yet comfortable cottages here are built to resemble local maachlis or huts, where farmers store their produce and rest awhile, if they can.

Slow Travel
Vernacular architectural style has been adopted to build this property. Maachli has set an example by experimenting a small temporary dam on the stream which helps in the increase of water retention level of the soil. It has boosted the water level of the wells nearby. 90 per cent of the people working in the property are women from nearby villages.
