What to expect:
The Hindu Bishnoi sect is known for their practice of environmental and animal protection as part of daily life. This village tour lets guests interact with members of the Bishnoi community in their villages and learn about their culture. Guests are picked up in Jodhpur and taken to multiple villages like the Gudha village that is known for its wildlife and other villages known by the trade of the villagers, like the Shepherds Village, Potters Village, Salawas (Weavers Village) and Kankani (Block Printers Village). The tour is organised by the local family that runs Chhotaram Prajapat’s Homestay in Salawas and guests on this tour get to enjoy an authentic Rajasthani meal here.
