Have you found yourself on a Saturday morning thinking "what to do with your weekend"? Many urban Indians, especially those in corporate five-day-week jobs, would love to do weekend trips exploring nearby places, but doing the research for it, finding accommodation and figuring out other nitty gritties like entry fees can be time consuming. Wouldn’t it be nice if somebody else did all this and what’s more you got to travel with a group of entusiastic and like-minded individuals?
That’s exactly what Goutham Ravi and his friend had in mind when they joined hands in 2016 to form TheTrippers. In as a road trip group. It was formed with an intention of exploring off-beat destinations, varied cultures, local cuisine and folklore together. This quickly was formalised into a full-fledged brand under the parent company, Gohash Travel.
Gohash’s vision is to innovate in the travel space and launch new concepts in the industry. Gohash travel has two operational brands—TheTrippers. In and TheTrippitas, which offers all-women trips. An integrated travel platform (App and Website) is under development.
TheTrippers. In specialises in curated and themed tours in South India for now, all starting from Bengaluru. They also conduct customised trips for international and domestic travel. The trips, which are typically active holidays and include a fair amount of hiking or trekking, are mostly to offbeat, less explored parts with the travel company taking care of the trip and route planning, transport in many cases, tents and accommodation, equipment, meals and beverages and group activities.
It also offers longer trips, especially during long weekends. Bengaluru denizens—you don’t have to worry about how to fill up your weekends anymore!
Price: From Rs 1,000 per person per day including stay, all meals, activities and refreshments. Rs 750 per person for day trips.

Slow Travel
All Gohash (TheTrippers. In) trips revolve around nature, culture or history, or a combination of all three. The itineraries include activities that aim to educate guests about Nature. Activities include nature walks, birding and education about astronomy. The trips also educate guests about local cultures, the local way of life, cuisine, livelihood, handicrafts etc. First preference is given to stays, eateries, places of interest that are environment friendly. The trip stops and activities are centered around local businesses. They discourage guests from bringing along, using or disposing of any material that could damage the environment and believe in taking back only memories and leaving behind only footprints!
